Elizabeth Malone was born on January 5, 1848 or 1850 in Hope Town, Abaco to Benjamin Malone (1802-1878) and Jane Thompson (1807-1878)

In March 1868, she married William Henry Sawyer (1845-1910) from Green Turtle Cay, Abaco. He is the son of Robert Henry Sawyer (1824-1894) and Caroline Gates (1825-1885)

Their children included Elizabeth Aletta (1868-1935), Robert Bertice “Bertie” (1870-19??), Eliza (1877-????), Caroline Elizabeth ‘Carrie Jane’ (1877-1968), Effie Genevieve (1879-1955) and Fritz Haziel ‘Fred’ (1884-1962).

In 1917, she married James Madison Young (1845-1930) from Tennessee.

Elizabeth was the community nurse and midwife.

Elizabeth Malone passed away May 15, 1925, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
