I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Godfrey, my Mum’s eldest brother! After my Dad died, Uncle Godfrey became more of a father figure to me. He was always willing to share a joke or a nugget of wisdom. We would all sing along to wacky songs like “Can’t Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd”, “The Streak” and “Gitarzan”, while riding in the car with him on the way to sleepovers with our cousins. He and his family will always have a special place in my heart! I enjoyed working with him for many years at Home Furniture. He is deeply missed and always remembered with love!

Godfrey Herbert Eldred Roberts passed away in 1987
