Winer Henry Bethell Sr was born on April 14, 1876, in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco to Winer Bethell (1835?-1901) and Julia Saunders (1840-1911).
His siblings include Edward Willis (1865), Robert Tracy (1868), Lillian Edith (1871), Julia Lois (1874), Mary Elizabeth (1879), and Addington Alexander (1881).
On January 21, 1909, at St Matthew’s Anglican Church in Nassau, New Providence, Winer Sr married Spero Elizabeth Roberts (1889-1920) daughter of John Roberts IV (1864-1908) and Euphemia Russell (1862-1922).
Their children included Rosalind Kathleen (1910-1987), Julia Lois (1911-1990), Norris Henry (1913-1990), Winer Henry Jr. (1916-2000). Spero and Winer emigrated to Miami, Florida in 1918.
Winer Bethell and his family emigrated to Miami, Florida in 1918. Winer worked as a farmer and gardener and later operated a grocery store.
Winer Henry Bethell died August 1945 in Miami, Florida at 69 years of age. He was buried in the Miami City Cemetery with his wife.
