Jabez Gilbert Lowe, Jr. was born on April 8, 1876, in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco to Jabez Gilbert Lowe, Sr. (1846-1900) and Amelia Ann Curry (1845-1934). His father, Jabez Sr., is a great grandson of Captain Gideon Lowe.
His siblings include Arthur Alese (1866), Amelia Ann (1868), Rona Astwood (1871), Susan Annette (1873), Benjamin Edward (1885).
In January 1895, Jabez Jr. married Laura Beatrice Lowe (1878), daughter of Clarence Foster Lowe and Mary Curry.
Their children included Estella Louise (1895), James Curtis (1897), Lauretta Isabelle (1899), Myrtle Leona (1901), Arthur Havelock (1904). Between the birth of her youngest child and 1910, Laura passed away.
In 1906, Jabez Jr. emigrated to Key West, Florida. In August 1922, he married Mary Elizabeth Bethel (1879), daughter of Winer Bethel and Julia Saunders.
Jabez Gilbert Lowe, Jr., carpenter and chauffeur, died on October 28, 1965 (age 89) is buried in the City Cemetery, Key West, Florida.
