Alton Lowe reminisces…
I have such fond memories of Uncle Lud. He had a beautiful singing voice. I can still hear him singing “To Be a Farmer’s Boy” in front of the entire village. It was my first production for Empire Day and when I asked him to participate, he enthusiastically agreed. I was only twelve at that time but somehow was able to organize the celebration. Those were the days when we were really a large family and not just a group of individuals. Wonderful memories!
Grandson Gregory Lowe recalls…
Pa Lud made the best coconut pie! He also taught how to hold a hand line and the feel of a fish nibbling on the bait! He patiently untangled many a fishing line for me.
William Ludington passed away in 1962.
