He was appointed Tidewaiter in the settlement – a position he held for four years. In 1917, Mr. Roberts joined the Board of Education as a Teacher in Training at the Boys Central School in Nassau. For the next 50 years he worked at schools throughout the country and was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 1974 for his service to education.
Enoch Pedro Roberts passed away March 2, 1976 (age 81) in Nassau, New Providence.
