Freddy Marvin Futch was born on January 10, 1933, in Gasparilla Island, Florida to Rayford Morris ‘Sug’ Futch and Pearl Isabel Lowe.
In 1951, he married Thelma Alvarez (1931-2014) from Tampa, Florida.
Their children included Marvine Elaine, Joni Ann and Marie-Elena.
He is the grandson of Green Turtle Cay’s Thomas Wilson Lowe (1866-1943) and Eliza Matilda Stirrup (1872-1961).
Freddy served in the Coast Guard for four years. Captain Futch served as a fishing guide in Boca Grande for most of his life.
Freddy Marvin Futch passed away on February 13, 2018 (age 85), in Sarasota, Florida.
