In September 1946, Nellie married William Ferris Weech (1908-1995) from Current, Eleuthera. He is the son of Edwin Cethegus Weech (1875-1941) and Aroma Priscilla Knowles (1873?-1939).

Nellie spent her early years with her family in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco. After completing school, she developed the skill of sewing, and for many years she designed and made dresses, hats and placemats.
She also helped out on their farm, wherever she was needed. She married William Ferris Weech Sep 12th 1946. They took up residence in his home in Current, Eleuthera. She became his support during the many years of his running the Mail Boat between Current and Nassau. She spoke often of a treasured visit from His Excellency Sir Arthur Foulkes and Lady Foulkes. Residents of the Current, along with family and friends came together to celebrate a centennial milestone with her on her 100th Birthday. She was a caring and compassionate woman.
Nellie Isabel Weech née Hodgkins passed away on July 31, 2013 (age 101) in Current, Eleuthera.
