Percival Arthur Roberts was born on September 25, 1919, in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco to Harry Roberts (1892-1976) and Estella Louise Lowe (1895-1927).

In July 1943, Percival married Helen Elizabeth Ingraham (1926-1954) from Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera. She is the daughter of Victor VanDyke Ingraham (1898-1957) and Eliza Mae Sweeting (1900-1966).

In February 1955, Percival married Colomae Elizabeth Cartwright (1939-1969) from Deadman’s Cay, Long Island. She is the daughter of Charles Lockhart Cartwright (1894-1975) and Rachel Saphira Darville (1898-1952).

Percy relocated from Abaco to Eleuthera around 1940. He worked for The Harrisville Company at Hatchet Bay for about 30 years until 1975. He met and married both of his wives in Eleuthera, and all of his children were born there.

He was an accomplished and self-taught electric guitarist, playing solely by ear in a plucking style.

Percival Arthur Roberts passed away on October 31, 1989 (age 70) in Nassau, New Providence.
